Beating The Odds Foundation

Dr. John C. Worzbyt is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Counseling at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. During his 31 years  of service, he was department chairperson, coordinator of doctoral  studies, and coordinator of school counseling certification programs (elementary and secondary). John has been an educator for the past 43 years having worked as an elementary school teacher, middle school science teacher, elementary school counselor, and counselor educator. Dr. Worzbyt is an author (textbooks and programs for elementary and middle school kids), grant writer, researcher, consultant, keynote  speaker, and trainer. He has received local, state, and national recognition for his research, writings, and professional contributions to the field elementary school counseling. John authored the Beating the Odds curriculum and the Seven Step Success Cycle (high school program) and is the author of the Quarterbacks of Life Mentoring Program curriculum which includes the Stepping Stones to Success.
