The Beating the Odds Quarterback Club (Quarterback Club) was created by sports
attorney Leigh Steinberg, the real-life inspiration for the major motion picture
Jerry Maguire. Steinberg has always encouraged his clients to pursue a philanthropic
endeavor. One who always practices what he preaches, Steinberg contributes much
of his own time and effort to a variety of humanitarian causes. A one million
dollar endowment was pledged by Steinberg to launch the Quarterback Club. Joining
Leigh in this cause are: Rocky Bleier, Warren Moon, Steve Young, and Randall Cunningham. Leigh
serves as the Founder of the Beating the Odds Quarterback Club.
The Quarterback Club is made up of individuals and corporations who see the value
in supporting the Beating the Odds Foundation's Quarterbacks of Life Student Mentoring Program.
Corporate sponsorships and individual donations are essential in helping the
Foundation reach its mission. Through the generosity of donors, we are able to
share with children the power of a DREAM.
Your membership will help us continue to offer our Program in current school
districts and expand our outreach to more children. Using a football analogy,
quarterbacks are team players who are charged with moving the football down field.
In the Quarterbacks of Life Student Mentoring Program, everyone has the opportunity to become a quarterback.
Quarterback Club members with an annual gift of $25,000 or more receive invitations to all Beating
the Odds sponsored events, are recognized at all Beating the Odds sponsored events
and on the Foundation's website. Members also have the opportunity to name a school
to receive the Quarterbacks of Life Student Mentoring Program.
