The Quarterbacks of Life® Student Success and Leadership Program is designed to help students understand the importance of success, what it means to be successful, and how to achieve success by applying what they learn in the classroom to their lives, both in and out of school. Teachers recognize that everything they teach in school can be presented in ways that will help students to grow personally and apply what they learn to move in the direction of their goals.
Using a football analogy, quarterbacks are team players who are charged with moving the football down field. In the Quarterbacks of Life® Student Success and Leadership Program, everyone has the opportunity to become a quarterback. The playing field is life and the opposing team is the obstacles and setbacks that students face every day in their quest to put points on the score board of life (goal achievement). In this Program, students are taught how to become team players. They learn strategies for developing mental toughness, team work, and a blueprint for achieving success. This Program teaches that success is a process of self-improvement that leads to forward movement in the direction of one's goals, and teaches students an easy to use, highly effective five step process called the Stepping Stones to Success. Teachers teach and model this blueprint throughout the school year.
